CCS Zhejiang Branch conducts the themed joint activity "Focus on the 15th Five-Year Plan, Build a Strong Port Dream Together"

As China's Maritime Day approaches, a youth dialogue spanning the entire port and shipping chain was held in Ningbo. Recently, the Zhejiang Branch of China Classification Society (CCS), together with the Zhejiang Seaport Group, Ningbo Maritime Safety Administration, and Ningbo Maritime Court, jointly organized the themed co-construction activity "Joining Forces for the 15th Five-Year Plan, Building a Strong Port Dream." More than 60 young representatives from the four organizations participated in the event.

The event featured a themed sharing session where six young representatives exchanged ideas on key positions across the port and shipping chain. A representative from Zhejiang Seaport Group shared stories of Ningbo Ocean Shipping collaborating with private enterprises to expand into the Southeast Asian market and practical experiences in upgrading high-end shipping services using big data technology. A representative from Ningbo Maritime Safety Administration focused on the development of green ships, sharing frontline experiences in ensuring the production of the nation's first methanol-powered river-sea direct vessel, "Innovation 19." A representative from Ningbo Maritime Court showcased the important role of maritime justice in optimizing the port and shipping business environment and regulating industry development through cases such as resolving Sino-American parallel litigation and managing bonded fuel oil disputes. Representatives from the Zhejiang Branch and certification companies shared their exploration and practices in green shipping certification and operational inspection technology innovation.

In the subsequent open roundtable discussion session, young representatives from each organization focused on the new development trends of the "15th Five-Year Plan," exchanging ideas on industry opportunities, challenges, and cross-unit collaboration. They ultimately reached multiple consensuses on dimensions such as green shipping transformation, digital intelligence empowerment, and cross-sector collaborative efforts. In the afternoon, all participants visited the Chuanshan Port Area of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port for on-site learning, experiencing firsthand the construction achievements and development vitality of a world-class strong port.

"This is a rare opportunity for cross-sector exchange," said one young representative. "Previously, we mostly worked behind closed doors on our own tasks. Sitting down and listening this time, I realized how closely interconnected and tightly linked our work is." Moving forward, the youth committees of the four organizations will use this themed co-construction activity as an opportunity to establish a regular communication mechanism, deepen youth collaboration and co-construction, and transform the outcomes of this event into specific collaborative measures. They aim to guide young people to root themselves in their positions, empower development, and continuously contribute their youthful wisdom and strength to accelerating the construction of a strong transportation nation and the high-quality development of a world-class strong port.
