Completion and Acceptance of the Shoreline Restoration Project in Jindong Village, Changjiang, Hainan

Recently, the shoreline restoration project of Jindong Village in Haiwei Town, Changjiang County, Hainan Province, designed by CCCC Water Transportation Consultants Co., Ltd. (referred to as Water Planning Institute), passed the completion acceptance.

The Jindong Village shoreline restoration project is located in a severely eroded coastal section and adopts an innovative "artificial sand replenishment + ecological sand tube groyne for sand stabilization + coastal forest restoration" integrated solution. A total of 960 meters of shoreline was restored, with 160,000 cubic meters of artificial sand replenished, five ecological sand tube groynes with a total length of 460 meters installed, and 14,156 square meters of wind-resistant and sand-stabilizing vegetation replanted. The project team designed a gradient sand replenishment width of 30 to 60 meters and a multi-level slope cross-section based on regional sediment transport patterns. Simultaneously, they developed full-cycle operation and maintenance plans, including groyne maintenance and shoreline monitoring, achieving structural stability and ecological landscape harmony for the shoreline, ensuring the project continues to deliver comprehensive benefits such as ecological restoration, shoreline stabilization, coastal protection, and disaster risk reduction.

The successful completion acceptance of this project fully demonstrates the professional technical expertise and capabilities of the Water Planning Institute in the field of coastal ecological management. From coral conservation at Wuchang Grade I Fishing Port in Wanning to coastal restoration in Haikou's blue remediation project, the Water Planning Institute has consistently adhered to the development philosophy of "deep integration of engineering projects and the natural environment."
