Fuzhou Navigation Mark Office joins hands with "Fuzhou Port Open Day" to ignite the maritime dreams of youth.
On July 10, as the 22nd China Maritime Day approached, the third "Fuzhou Port Open Day" and "Fuzhou Port in Children's Hearts" themed art exhibition, jointly organized by the Fuzhou Port Development Center of Fujian Province, the Fuzhou Navigation Mark Office of the East China Sea Navigation Guarantee Center, and the Fujian Provincial Children's Library, officially opened at the Provincial Children's Library. The exhibition will run until July 27.

This art exhibition, themed "Childlike Port, Dreaming Deep Blue," showcases the results of the earlier "Ronggang Cup—Fuzhou Port in Children's Hearts" painting competition, featuring 197 childlike port-themed artworks. These paintings, created from a child's perspective, highlight the intelligent, green, and open modernized appearance of Fuzhou Port. As one of the organizers, the Fuzhou Navigation Mark Office deeply participated in the event's preparation and interactive sessions, providing unique exhibits such as navigation mark objects and photo materials to bring maritime guarantee elements into the view of young people.
At the event site, staff from the Fuzhou Navigation Mark Office conducted maritime science interaction for visiting children. Through a combination of physical displays, simple explanations, and fun Q&A sessions, they explained the functions of navigation marks and shared basic knowledge about maritime navigation safety, unveiling the mystery of navigation marks safeguarding river and sea routes. In light of the current typhoon prevention situation, the event also included safety education on typhoon preparedness at sea and at home, teaching children key points for avoiding risks before and after a typhoon, reminding everyone to pay attention to weather warnings, stay away from dangerous coastal areas, and develop disaster prevention awareness. Many "little artists" stopped by the navigation mark display area, exchanging creative inspiration with staff based on their lighthouse-themed artworks, creating a lively atmosphere on-site.

This event built a communication bridge between the port, maritime guarantee, and citizens, especially young people, breaking the public's singular perception of the port as a logistics hub. It organically integrated maritime science education with children's aesthetic education, planting seeds in children's hearts to care about the port, love their hometown, and yearn for the ocean.
