Ningbo Maritime Party Iron Army Strengthens the Safety Line Against Typhoon "Bavi"
Typhoon "Bavi" strikes with force, combining wind, rain, and astronomical tides, posing a severe challenge to the safety of waterway transportation along the Ningbo coast. Ningbo Maritime Bureau adheres to party leadership and guidance, promptly initiating typhoon emergency response. Grassroots party organizations quickly assembled and acted upon orders, with party members and cadres taking responsibility, leading the charge, and fully safeguarding waterway transportation safety in the jurisdiction.
One party member is a flag, and one branch is a fortress. The bureau has formed 14 party member vanguard teams and 14 youth commando teams, standing guard day and night and fighting continuously. Party member leaders set an example and took the lead in tackling challenges, seizing the critical window period before the typhoon's arrival, and strictly implementing the requirements of "stop when necessary, evacuate when necessary, defend when necessary." They rigorously and meticulously carried out various defensive measures, ensuring the suspension of 46 water-related projects in Ningbo waters, the safe evacuation of 165 construction vessels, dynamic monitoring and control of over a thousand Ningbo-registered ships, and reinforcing corporate responsibility at all levels to identify and mitigate maritime safety risks at the source.
In response to the strong winds and waves and complex waters at Donghuoshan Anchorage, party member law enforcement personnel patrolled and stood guard for several consecutive days, precisely guiding vessels to avoid risks scientifically, effectively preventing the risks of vessel congestion, anchor dragging, and collisions. Meanwhile, they seized operational windows with precision, ensuring the "Shenhua 518" vessel successfully completed the urgent unloading of 48,000 tons of thermal coal, solidifying the baseline for safeguarding livelihood energy during the typhoon.
Additionally, party member leaders took the lead in utilizing smart methods such as drone inspections and intelligent electronic patrols, building a "water-land-air" three-dimensional prevention and control system. They strictly enforced a 24-hour duty system, conducting round-the-clock dynamic checks on vessels and inspecting waterway hazards, upholding the hard-core commitment of "the typhoon doesn't retreat, and neither do we."
