CCS named and delivered the 64,000-ton bulk carrier "Fengda Hai."
On July 7, the 64,000 DWT bulk carrier "Feng Da Hai," constructed under the inspection of the China Classification Society (CCS), was successfully named and delivered.

The "Feng Da Hai" vessel has a total length of 199.9 meters, a width of 32.26 meters, and a design draft of 11.3 meters. Independently developed and designed by the COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Design Institute, the ship integrates multiple cutting-edge technologies in green shipping and intelligent vessels: its energy efficiency index meets the requirements of the third phase of the EEDI (Energy Efficiency Design Index), it is equipped with a full set of intelligent ship systems and cybersecurity protection architecture, features an intelligent energy efficiency management platform, and has a reserved interface for methanol fuel conversion. The vessel's overall operational performance and low-carbon environmental performance are at the leading level among similar ships, with significant advantages in operational fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
Throughout the entire project process, the China Classification Society dispatched expert teams from its Innovation Center and Marine Research Institute to the shipyard multiple times. They conducted specialized technical training on key topics such as ship cybersecurity, digital delivery, and methanol fuel conversion, providing comprehensive technical diagnostics for the shipyard and delivering tailored optimization solutions for intelligent manufacturing upgrades. The project team's rigorous professionalism and efficient, pragmatic inspection services have earned high recognition from the shipyard and shipowner.

During the entire construction inspection cycle, the Zhejiang Branch of the China Classification Society, together with the party branches of the shipowner and the shipyard, closely aligned with key milestones such as keel laying, launching, sea trials, and delivery. They jointly carried out the themed practice activity "Party Building Collaboration to Create a 64K Bulk Carrier Masterpiece." Frontline party member surveyors took the initiative to address various technical challenges encountered during the construction phase, organizing on-site multi-party assessments and coordinating rapid resolutions at the earliest opportunity. This strong collaborative effort ensured the project's progress, with party building providing solid support for the construction timeline.
Next, the China Classification Society will continue to leverage its intelligent manufacturing and digital transformation cooperation projects to further advance green and low-carbon ship designs and promote the industrialization of intelligent shipping.
