The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Maritime Experience Class Plants the Seed of a Blue Sailing Dream
Recently, the Navigation Mark Department of the South China Sea Navigation Support Center of the Ministry of Transport, together with the Maritime Bureau of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, organized a "China Maritime Day Water Safety Knowledge into Schools" activity for more than 20 primary and secondary school students in Zhuhai, promoting maritime culture and water safety knowledge.
At the event site, employee representatives acted as instructors, demonstrating life jacket wearing techniques, explaining professional navigation support knowledge, and interpreting the contemporary significance of China Maritime Day while promoting the spirit of modern navigation. Subsequently, the instructor led the students in a fun water safety knowledge quiz, focusing on topics such as bridge navigation rules, drowning prevention, ship safety, and marine environmental protection, using interactive methods to deepen understanding. The event also included a boarding session where students collectively boarded a maritime patrol vessel to experience patrolling, learn about navigation marks, and gain a close understanding of navigation support functions.
This Maritime Day activity provided a platform for young people to engage closely with the ocean, effectively enhancing their water hazard avoidance and self-rescue abilities. The vivid maritime experience class planted a dream of blue navigation in the hearts of the youth, guiding them to foster a strong sense of maritime patriotism, actively learn marine knowledge, and aspire to contribute to the development of navigation support careers.
