Liaoning's China-Europe freight train operations increased by 169% year-on-year in the first half of 2023.
Reporters learned from the China Railway Shenyang Bureau Group that in the first half of this year, a total of 280 China-Europe freight trains were operated in Liaoning Province, transporting 29,000 TEUs of goods, representing year-on-year increases of 169.2% and 162.2%, respectively, achieving simultaneous growth in both quantity and quality.
Since the beginning of this year, relying on the Northeast China Multimodal Transport Development Alliance, the China Railway Shenyang Bureau Group, together with China Railway Container Transport Co., Ltd. and other entities, has jointly established a "1+6+10+N" efficient collection and distribution system. This system currently covers the "three corridors and six ports," including Manzhouli, Suifenhe, and Tongjiang, and has set up 10 overseas terminal stations in cities such as Hamburg, Duisburg, and Moscow. The network spans over 20 countries and more than 50 cities, with over 5,000 types of goods transported.
In addition, the railway department has implemented special policies for China-Europe freight trains, such as "priority container allocation," "priority vehicle allocation," "priority loading and transportation," and "priority customs clearance." Leveraging the 95306 platform for online order processing and full cargo tracking, a cross-border transportation emergency response mechanism has been established. The cargo sources have expanded to key economic regions such as Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, the Yangtze River Delta, and the Pearl River Delta.
It is reported that since the establishment of the China-Europe Freight Train (Shenyang) Assembly Center, a total of over 2,200 round-trip trains have been operated, transporting more than 240,000 TEUs of goods and serving over 3,000 domestic and international enterprises. By promoting the "Railway Express" and the integrated "One Bill of Lading" transportation model, trains departing from the assembly center can reach Russia in just 12 days and the heart of Europe in about 18 days, creating a high-cost-performance land-based golden route for foreign trade enterprises.
