During the visit, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and his delegation gained an in-depth understanding of IBI’s industrial digital economy practices, including its three growth curves of industrial e-commerce, industrial digitalization, and industrial-belt cross-border development, as well as the company’s business layout in Pakistan. In his keynote address, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, referring to the spirit of the China–Pakistan Joint Statement, emphasized that China and Pakistan are All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partners and are jointly building an even closer China–Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era. He noted that the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor is advancing toward comprehensive transformation featuring industrialization, private-sector participation, and two-way investment.
The Pakistani side remains firmly committed to high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, continuously improving the business environment and providing policy support and full-process services for Chinese enterprises. Pakistan welcomes Chinese companies to participate deeply in sectors including the digital economy, renewable energy, modern agriculture, mineral deep processing, rail transit, and healthcare, with the goal of jointly creating a model of mutually beneficial industrial cooperation. Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif stated that IBI serves as a model case for implementing the China–Pakistan All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership and acts not only as an important bridge connecting enterprises of both countries, but also as a people-to-people ambassador for bilateral business exchanges.

Qian Xiaojun, Founder and CEO of IBI, introduced that the company will focus on the 12 key cooperation sectors identified by the Pakistani side and adopt an “One Industry, One Dedicated Task Force” mechanism to accelerate project implementation, factory construction, market expansion, and commercial output.
In the mining sector, IBI will promote cooperation between Chinese technologies in exploration, environmental protection, and deep processing and Pakistan’s special economic zones, enabling localized stone processing, smelting operations, and employment generation. In the agriculture and food sector, the company will establish cold-chain logistics and contract farming systems to facilitate efficient access for Pakistani agricultural products to the Chinese market.
In the energy and infrastructure sector, IBI will focus on renewable energy and railway modernization while advancing technology transfer, talent training, and localized manufacturing. In the digital economy sector, the company plans to jointly establish AI laboratories, software outsourcing centers, and cross-border e-commerce hubs, alongside digital talent development programs to support Pakistan’s digital industrial upgrading.
For competitive industries such as textiles, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and electronics, IBI will promote an integrated model combining “industrial parks + procurement centers + fast-track certification + technical services” to enhance the efficiency and quality of bilateral industrial cooperation.
Qian Xiaojun stated that IBI is committed to advancing China–Pakistan industrial cooperation with a strong focus on project implementation, order fulfillment, job creation, and industrial value generation. Currently, IBI is cooperating with the JW Group in Lahore to jointly develop a 1,600-acre special economic zone, aiming to attract Chinese enterprises, capital, and technologies to cluster locally, foster industrial agglomeration, and drive local employment and industrial development.
