NHK Spring, a leading industrial machinery manufacturer, announces the transfer of its chemical products business to Toyo Quality One
NHK Spring, a top manufacturer of industrial machinery and equipment, has announced that it will cease production and sales of all chemical products, especially specialty polyurethane foam products, by the end of March 2025. This transformation involves the agreement for NHK Spring to transfer its chemical products business to Toyo Quality One Corporation, effective April 1, 2025. The decision to exit from chemical product business entails a closure for production and sales of several polyurethane foam products: Super Seal, Super Sheet, Nippalay, Insuron, and FOREA. NHK Spring expresses gratitude to all consumers for their support over the years, but it claims this move corresponds to its bigger strategic goals.
The business transfer agreement was signed on December 9, 2024, signifying the official start of the transformation. Beginning on April 1, 2025, Toyo Quality One-a prominent foam manufacturing company-would take over the production and the sales of these products. The Toyo Quality One Corporation was founded in 1935 in Kawagoe, Saitama Prefecture, Japan, and has been engaged in the production of various sorts of foams-such as polyurethane foams, asphalt foams, plastic foams-and their various processing enterprises. The president is Toshiaki Seki; strong on foam business, the company has registered share capital amounting to 800 million yen ($5.32 million).
NHK Spring explained that the transfer of its chemicals business will mostly have a minimal impact on the company's consolidated financial results. Henceforth, it announced that there would not be any significant adjustments with regards to the current year projections. In the press release, NHK Spring furthermore stated that it appreciates its clientele and stakeholders for their continued support of its chemical products business: "Thank you sincerely for the support that has been extended to this business through the years," said the company. "We intend to do everything possible so that Toyo Quality One provides high-quality products and services in the specialized field of polyurethane foam."
