​云南首期“三车”司机子女暑期爱心托管班结业

On July 17, the graduation ceremony of Yunnan Province's first "Three Vehicles" Drivers' Children Summer Care Class was held at Kunming Runcheng School. After 12 days of summer care, 80 children from families of ride-hailing, taxi, and truck drivers officially graduated. This care class was organized by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Transportation and co-hosted by Amap, Lucheng Ride-hailing, Kunming Taxi, and others. It is an important public welfare initiative in Yunnan's transportation sector to care for the "three vehicles" driver community.

Over the past 12 days, the care center was not just a place for supervision but also a paradise for the children's growth. Under safe closed-loop management, the children enjoyed a fulfilling and happy holiday: academic tutoring focused on summer homework with one-on-one guidance from professional teachers; experiential learning combined knowledge and practice, taking children out of the classroom to broaden their horizons; cultural and sports activities helped students strengthen their bodies and stay away from electronic dependence. The "Daisy" Oral Health Public Welfare Project also entered the care class to educate children about oral health and promote healthy living concepts.

At the graduation ceremony, the most touching moment was the performance prepared by the children. A skit titled "Traffic Safety" took the stage first, with children playing traffic police, drivers, and pedestrians, vividly acting out "Stop at red lights, go at green lights," their innocent lines full of understanding and pride for their parents' professions. The recitation of "Encouragement to Learn" was loud and clear, the hand gesture dance "Little Happiness" was neat and lively, the chorus "Beginning of Spring" was bright and melodious, and the solo dance "After the Early Summer Rain" was graceful and poised. The 12 days of growth blossomed on stage, earning rounds of applause from the audience.

A short retrospective video captured real moments, stringing together the children's experiences over the 12 days. "Seeing the children go from being reserved when they first arrived to now actively raising their hands to speak and playing games together, all our efforts were worth it," said Zhang, a teacher leading the care class. "In these 12 days, we didn't just help them with their homework; we also wanted to plant a seed of confidence and positivity in their hearts."

Parents expressed their gratitude wholeheartedly. Long-distance truck driver Mr. Shi admitted, "I used to worry every summer because there was no one to look after my child, and I couldn't focus on the road. Now, sending my child here means someone teaches them, accompanies them, and I don't even have to push them to do their homework. I feel much more at ease!" Ride-hailing driver Mr. Liu said his child comes home every day talking about the day's new experiences, "They've gained knowledge and skills. The Department of Transportation really hit the mark with this initiative for us drivers."

As one of the event organizers, a representative from Amap stated that as an integrated platform, Amap is committed to leveraging its digital connectivity capabilities. Under the guidance of relevant government departments, it collaborates with industry associations and mobility companies to establish a driver-passenger needs coordination network, ensuring that every step of care for new labor groups reaches individual drivers and their families precisely through the network.

A representative from the Comprehensive Transportation Division of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Transportation stated that "Three Vehicles" drivers are an important new labor group ensuring urban mobility and supporting logistics circulation. Serving and caring for them and their children is an unshirkable responsibility of the transportation department. In February this year, the Provincial Department of Transportation released the "List of Measures for Serving 'Three Vehicles' Drivers in Yunnan's Transportation Sector," covering 25 initiatives in three categories: government services, rights protection, and care. This summer care class is a vivid practice of turning the "heartwarming list" into "practical actions."

Next, the Provincial Department of Transportation will systematically summarize the experience to refine and implement "heartwarming services," accumulating samples for expanding the initiative across cities and prefectures in the province. Graduation is not the end but a new beginning. This care will extend along the transportation service network to reach more "Three Vehicles" driver families on the road.
