Annual import and export data of titanium products in 2020

According to customs data, China imported 30.10 thousand tons of titanium ore in December, up 1.27% year-on-year and 18.86% YoY. The cumulative imports from January to December were about 3.014.2 thousand tons, up 15.29% YoY and up about 400,000 tons from the annual imports in 2019.

The top three countries of titanium ore imports are: Mozambique, Vietnam and Australia; accounting for 43%, 22% and 11% of total imports respectively.

In 2020, the top three countries in the annual import quantity of titanium ore are Mozambique, Vietnam and Australia; occupying 38%, 15% and 14% of the total annual import quantity.

According to customs data, China exported 3,870 tons of titanium ore in December, up 74.68% year-on-year and 32.19% YoY. The cumulative exports from January to December were about 25,800 tons, up 7.21% YoY, and about 1,739 tons more than the annual exports in 2019.

According to customs data, China exported about 102,000 tons of titanium dioxide in December 2020, an increase of 1.26% year-on-year and a decrease of 9.13% YoY. The cumulative exports from January to December were about 1,124,800 tons, an increase of 21.06% YoY and an increase of 211,300 tons compared to last year's exports in 2019.

Among them, the top three countries of titanium dioxide exports: India, Brazil, Vietnam; respectively, accounting for 12%, 10%, 7% of total exports.

China imported about 16,500 tons of titanium dioxide in December 2020, down 3.79% YoY and up 2.73% YoY. cumulative imports from January to December were about 172,400 tons, up 2.85% YoY and up about 47,840,000 tons YoY from the annual imports in 2019.

The top three regions of titanium dioxide imports are: Australia, Taiwan, Mexico; accounting for 31%, 25%, 13% of total imports, respectively.

The average monthly price of titanium dioxide imports in December was 2857.82, up 2% from the previous month; the average monthly price of titanium dioxide exports in December was 2018.71, up 5.6% from the previous month.

December titanium sponge imports 354.1 tons, down 21.05% year-on-year, up 47.17% YoY. January-December cumulative imports of 4722.6 tons, down 33.85% YoY, down about 2,417 tons from the 2019 annual import volume.

December titanium sponge exports 12.3 tons, down 93.21% year-on-year, up 444.44% YoY. January-December cumulative exports 548.5 tons, down 47.57% YoY, down about 498 tons from the 2019 annual exports.
