What is PVC wire?
Pvc wire actually means that the outermost layer of the core material is made of PVC material. In a sense, it is also an insulated wire. So, how did PVC cable develop?
Because of its superior physical properties and good flame retardancy, pvc materials are gradually being used more and more widely, and as wire insulator, it has to start from the 1930s and 1940s. It is also due to the continuous improvement of the production capacity of pvc materials and industrial additives that the cable industry has made a qualitative leap.
From 1984 to 2000, the domestic production of PVC cables increased from 100000 tons to 254000 tons, mainly due to the increasing market demand of the cable industry and the in-depth research and extensive application of PVC materials. At present, there are nearly 5000 cable factories in China, and each cable factory has different requirements and development requirements for pvc materials at different stages of development.
In general, the development of PVC materials has mainly experienced the transformation and development from ordinary type to flame-retardant type, then to non-lead type and technical type, and has also played a great role in the cable and wire industry. This is also why we can often see all kinds of PVC wires now.
