Use Technology and Precautions
1. Storage Conditions: Do not use brass, copper, copper alloy equipment or natural rubber equipment. Storage Temperature: 10℃-32℃; Prevent the cold-seal adhesive from freezing failure or high-temperature deterioration. It is recommended to use it within 6 months from the production date.
2. Usage Conditions: Usage Temperature: 16℃-32℃; The temperature of the printing workshop shall be reasonably controlled within the appropriate range to avoid cold-seal adhesive failure due to improper workshop temperature.
3. Precautions During Production: If the cold-seal adhesive is not completely dried, blocking will occur. Once blocking happens, it will directly lead to product scrapping with no room for remedy. Therefore, the drying of cold-seal adhesive during the printing process has extremely high requirements. The cold-seal adhesive cannot be dried instantly and requires gradient drying. The drying speed should not be too fast, and the drying time should not be too short; instead, it should be dried slowly and progressively. If conditions permit, four ovens should be equipped after printing the cold-seal adhesive, and the temperature of the drying ovens should be set sequentially as 50℃-60℃-70℃-80℃, increasing gradually to ensure complete drying.
4. Coating Dosage: Determine the coating dosage according to the surface condition of different substrates. The smoother and flatter the substrate surface, the smaller the coating dosage per unit area. For example, for PET substrates, a dry adhesive dosage of 2.5-3g per square meter is sufficient; for paper substrates, due to their strong water absorption capacity and different surface fiber roughness of different papers, the rougher the fiber of the paper, the larger the required coating dosage. Finally, it is necessary to ensure that the dry adhesive can fill the depressions on the paper surface to form a continuous and flat adhesive layer, so as to ensure the normal exertion of the basic functions of the cold-seal adhesive. The dry adhesive dosage for paper is usually 4-6g/m².
5. The effective content (solid content) of the company's cold-seal adhesive is about 50%. It can be used directly without adding any solvent; if the viscosity is too high, it can be diluted with pure water.
