FULLY REFERIGERATED PROPANE
Fully‑refrigerated propane is propane liquefied and stored or transported at its atmospheric boiling‑point temperature of about ‑42°C, under near‑atmospheric pressure (non‑pressurized condition).
It is bulk‑grade liquid propane commonly shipped by large gas carriers (VLGC, Very Large Gas Carrier) for long‑distance international trade. By deep‑refrigeration instead of high pressure, propane turns into liquid with much higher density, so far‑greater cargo volume can be loaded within the same tank space.
This form of propane is widely used as petrochemical feedstock for steam crackers, as well as clean‑burning fuel for residential, commercial and industrial consumption. Reliquefaction systems are required onboard or at terminals to handle boil‑off gas during storage and transit.
