Organic thixotropic agents for solvent coating systems A-S-A T-250F/550F
A-S-A T-250F/T-550F is a fine powder of the polyamide wax, and the thixotropic agents developed for the heavy duty protective coatings.
When A-S-A T-250F/T-550F is disperse in the vehicle and is heated, network structure is formed. The formed network structure gives strong thixotropy to the system, and shows an excellent anti-sag performance and the anti-settle performance.
Features
☆ Pre-gel need not be made, and it is possible to add directly to the mill base of the coatings.
☆ Viscosity of the mill base does not increase extremely.
☆ High anti-sag performance is given to the coatings.
☆ Dispersion temperature dependency is a little.
☆ High performance is shown within the wide range of the temperature.
☆ Danger of the seeding and the intercoat adhesion failure is extremely low compared with the hydrogenated castor oil.

Application usage
☆ For heavy duty coatings, etc.

Directions
☆ Disperse by sand mill, ball mill, and high-speed disper, etc.
☆ Recommended dispersion temperature is 40-70℃.
☆ Should dispersion in system which does not contain polar solvent at high temperature though the effect appears at low temperature in system which contains polar solvent.
☆ Appropriate amount of addition is 0.5-2.0%.
