Product Overview

Polyurethane thickener PU-40 is a highly efficient rheological additive with a wide range of applications. It has excellent compatibility with ionic and non-ionic emulsions, such as styrene-acrylic emulsions, pure acrylic emulsions, polyurethane aqueous dispersions and acrylic polyurethane aqueous dispersions, without affecting the water resistance of the paint film.

Characteristics and Applications

● Polyurethane thickener PU-40 provides excellent thickening and leveling properties.

● It is especially recommended to be used in dilutable water-based glossy magnetic paints, emulsion paints and anti-corrosion paints. Combined with cellulose ether and polyacrylic acid thickeners, it can provide better leveling and anti-splash properties.

● Resistant to microbial degradation and its performance is not affected by the pH value of the system.

Dosage and method of use

※ Polyurethane thickener

※ Polyurethane thickener PU-40 can be added at the stage of grinding or paint mixing, or after adding emulsion.

※ It is recommended to add 0.2-2% (of the total formula), the exact amount to be added should depend on different formulations and required viscosity.

※ For better dispersion and avoiding agglomeration, it should be diluted with water or co-solvent at the ratio of 1:1 before adding.

50 or 125KG/drum.

Storage temperature 5-40℃, pay attention to anti-freezing.
