1. Product Overview

Gaoteng's series of plastic flexible packaging water-based printing inks began R&D in 2018 and gained widespread market recognition in 2020. The product is designed to meet environmental requirements, promoting the transition from solvent-based to water-based printing inks, and provides corresponding technical support.

This series of products is suitable for gravure and flexographic printing presses and can be applied to a variety of substrates, including polyethylene film (PE), breathable film, polypropylene film (BOPP, OPP), polyester film (PET), heat-shrinkable film (PVC, OPS), nylon film (PA), biodegradable film (PLA), as well as copying paper and aluminum foil.

2. Product Features

· Excellent shallow screen transfer performance and color reproduction capability.
· Supports surface printing, reverse printing, and subsequent lamination.
· Good dilutability, with printing dots reproducing clearly, solidly, and fully.
· High solid content and low viscosity formula design, suitable for high-speed, low-viscosity printing requirements.
· Customizable according to customer needs, such as for chemical resistance, boil resistance, and other requirements for food flexible packaging water-based inks.

3. Product Parameters

· Viscosity: 10-20 seconds (Zahn Cup #4)
· pH Value: 8.5-9.5
· Fineness: ≤5 microns
· Lightfastness: ≥6 grade
· Heat Resistance: ≥160 degrees Celsius

Note: The surface tension of the printing substrate should be above 38 dynes (some films require above 40 dynes).

4. Recommended Printing Parameters

Gravure Press Parameters:

· Printing Viscosity: 8-12 seconds (Zahn Cup #4)
· Drying Oven Settings: Ideal length 1.4-2.5 meters, hot air temperature 50-80 degrees Celsius
· Recommended Plate Depth: Color 15-25 microns; White 25-35 microns (chrome plating hardness increased by over 80%)
· Printing Speed: 50-240 meters/minute, optimal speed 110-180 meters/minute

Flexographic Press Parameters:

· Printing Viscosity: 10-15 seconds (Zahn Cup #4)
· Printing Speed: 50-240 meters/minute, optimal speed 110-180 meters/minute
· Anilox Roller Line Count: 400-1000 lines per inch
