ZT Universal Composite Ink is a high-quality, ester-soluble polyurethane-based ink system engineered for superior printability and adhesion across key flexible packaging films. Designed to meet varied durability needs, this product line is categorized into three performance grades: ZTZ for high-temperature retort and water boil applications, ZTS for water boil and standard packaging, and ZTP for general light packaging. Its primary composition—featuring ester-soluble polyurethane resin combined with selected esters, alcohols, and ether solvents—ensures excellent film wetting, color dispersion, and drying efficiency. The ink also incorporates specialized additives such as dispersing and anti-blocking agents to enhance print stability and finished surface quality.
This ink is compatible with polyester (PET), nylon (NY), and BOPP films, provided surface treatment levels meet specified dyne requirements—50+ for PET, 52+ for NY, and 38+ for BOPP. It is suitable for dry lamination and solvent-free lamination processes, though extrusion lamination is not recommended. For optimal performance in solvent-free lamination, pre-production compatibility testing with adhesives is advised.
