The number of effective invention patents in strategic emerging industries reached 1.349 million, a year-on-year increase of 15.7%. 1. The European Union intends to limit fines on Apple and Meta to avoid angering US President Donald Trump

According to the Financial Times, the European Union will impose minimum fines on Apple and Facebook owner Meta under its Digital Markets Act next week, as the EU side tries to avoid escalating tensions with US President Donald Trump. Apple is expected to be fined and ordered to revise its app store rules, according to people familiar with the matter. Meta will also be fined and asked to change its "pay or consent" model, which forces users to either consent to data tracking or pay a subscription fee for the ad-free experience of its products. Under antitrust laws, companies could face fines of up to 10% of their global turnover, which could result in billions of dollars in fines for both companies.
