Natural Rubber Daily: Bullish and Bearish Forces Clash, Where Are Rubber Prices Heading?

On November 2, the natural rubber Qingdao market STR20 price index was 2,510 USD/ton, up 20 USD/ton from the previous trading day.
Supply
Overseas
Thailand: Supply in northeastern Thailand is gradually increasing. Large factories remain actively replenishing raw material inventories with downward price pressure, and cup lump procurement prices have declined. In the south, rainfall disturbances persist, with latex procurement prices adjusting steadily; the decline is smaller than that of cup lump.
Vietnam: Production areas are in the seasonal peak production phase. Rainfall in main production areas has decreased, tapping conditions have improved, and latex supply has recovered compared to earlier periods.
Domestic
Yunnan: Recent rainfall in Yunnan production areas has affected the overall raw material volume pace, but raw material price quotes remain mixed, with both high and low prices present.
Hainan: Weather conditions have improved, tapping operations have resumed, and the island's raw material production release pace has recovered. Supported by orders and profit factors, local processing factories maintain a premium procurement stance for raw materials.
Demand
Industry profit levels remain mediocre, with some enterprises unable to reach full-capacity operations. Select mid-to-large enterprises have acceptable operating rates, mostly producing on-demand, but some exhibit incomplete product specification coverage.
Futures and Spot Price Overview
Market Outlook
Overseas production areas have entered the seasonal volume increase phase, with new rubber output gradually being released. Raw material prices are expected to continue declining, weakening cost-side support. The macro atmosphere remains weak, continuously suppressing commodity market sentiment. Downstream enterprises maintain cautious procurement attitudes, mostly engaging in small-volume essential restocking at low prices, with limited active inventory-building willingness. The demand side lacks effective driving force for rubber prices.
Overall, the coexistence of supply increase expectations and weak demand patterns suggests that short-term natural rubber market bullish sentiment remains weak, and rubber prices may maintain a weak consolidation trend.
