The China-Europe Railway Express (Wuhan) has launched a new direct route to Baku.
On March 31, with a train loaded with electronic devices, household appliances, daily necessities, and other goods departing from the China Railway Union Wuhan Central Station, the new direct route of the China-Europe Railway Express (Wuhan) to Baku officially commenced operation. This marks another exploration of Hubei's deep involvement in the construction of the South Corridor Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor, further enriching the international channel network of the China-Europe Railway Express (Wuhan) and building a brand-new, efficient logistics bridge for Hubei's export-oriented enterprises to expand overseas markets.
The train, organized and operated by Hubei Port Group's Hanou International Company (referred to as "Hanou International"), will exit through the Horgos Port, pass through Kazakhstan and other regions, and ultimately travel via the South Corridor Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The entire journey adopts a "railway + sea transport" multimodal transport method and is expected to take 18 days to arrive.
Baku is located at the intersection of the Eurasian continent and faces Kazakhstan's Aktau across the "sea." It is an important node city in the South Corridor Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor, with significant geographical advantages.
To ensure the smooth operation of the train, Hanou International made early coordinated arrangements, proactively took responsibility, precisely organized the cargo sources, formulated logistics plans, optimized transportation nodes, and fully ensured the train's operational efficiency. Meanwhile, it actively collaborated with Wuhan Railway Bureau, Hankou Customs, China Railway Container Company, and China Railway Union Wuhan Central Station to optimize operational processes, achieving efficient coordination in vehicle allocation, customs declaration, and transport capacity assurance, ensuring the train's punctual departure and safe passage.
Currently, the China-Europe Railway Express (Wuhan) has opened 63 stable cross-border transport routes, covering 42 countries and 124 cities across the Eurasian continent. The diversified channel system of the China-Europe Railway Express (Wuhan) is accelerating its construction, providing safe, high-quality, and efficient international logistics services for domestic and foreign customers. A responsible person from Hanou International stated that the company will continue to optimize the South Corridor transport routes, continuously improve the operational quality and service efficiency of the China-Europe Railway Express (Wuhan), and contribute more to Hubei's efforts to accelerate the construction of a key strategic hub for the rise of the central region and serve the national strategy of opening up to the world.
