Chongqing Water Traffic Emergency Drill Gathers Intelligent Unmanned Equipment
On July 21, 2026, an emergency drill for waterway traffic incidents in Chongqing was held in the Wushan section of the Daning River, a tributary of the Yangtze River. For the first time, the drill relied on "Digital Transportation," "Government · Thousand-Mile Light Boat," and the "141 Grassroots Emergency Intelligent Governance System" to establish a new model for full-chain digital emergency response.
This drill simulated extreme convective weather conditions, where a passenger ship lost control and people fell into the water, triggering a chain reaction of a cargo ship colliding with a bridge, catching fire, and exploding. The emergency command platform automatically received information about the incident, quickly completed location identification, risk classification, and initial assessment, and simultaneously pushed updates to relevant departments. The command center utilized the "One Map Overview" and "One-Click Dispatch" functions to deliver precise instructions to every rescue vessel, achieving a shift from "individual efforts" to "overall coordination" in emergency rescue operations.
Intelligent unmanned equipment performed outstandingly in this drill. Reconnaissance drones equipped with AI visual models accurately located individuals in the water and transmitted real-time footage; firefighting drone teams precisely deployed fire extinguishing bombs, securing a critical window for large rescue vessels to handle the situation on-site; bridge inspection drones and underwater detection robots quickly completed damage assessments of the bridge; water quality detection drones simultaneously conducted water sampling tests in downstream areas, significantly improving rescue efficiency.
