Fuzhou Port facilitates the creation of a convenient, economical, and efficient mountain-sea linkage outbound channel.
On July 15, the "Gathering Strength in Nanping, Integrating Mountains and Seas, Achieving Win-Win Cooperation" logistics channel promotion and exchange seminar for the Nanping region of Fuzhou Port was held in Nanping, Fujian. This seminar focused on the coordinated development of northeastern Fujian, centering on leveraging Fuzhou Port as an external gateway to the sea, relying on the Minjiang River's golden waterway and sea-rail intermodal transport channels, and conducting in-depth discussions on creating a convenient, economical, and efficient mountain-sea linkage channel to the sea.

Fuzhou New Port International Container Terminal Co., Ltd. highlighted the operations of Fuzhou Port's container terminal, port area operation support, route layout, smart port construction, and comprehensive logistics service capabilities. It also introduced transportation modes such as direct road access, sea-rail intermodal transport, and Minjiang River water transport, as well as green and intensive logistics solutions tailored to the differentiated needs of Nanping enterprises in terms of cargo types, volume, timeliness, and costs. Companies such as COSCO Shipping Lines, Mediterranean Shipping Company, Fuzhou Foreign Trade Agency, Fuying Multimodal Transport, and Yilu Supply Chain showcased their business products and end-to-end logistics solutions in areas such as booking services, full-process logistics organization, sea-rail intermodal transport, and Minjiang River sea-river intermodal transport, providing diverse logistics channels for Nanping's foreign trade enterprises to access overseas markets.
During the exchange session, representatives from key Nanping enterprises such as Shengnong, Yuanli Activated Carbon, Shengsheng Wood Industry, Nanfu Battery, and Nanping Aluminum raised specific demands regarding transportation timeliness, logistics costs, route matching, optimization of collection and distribution organization, and port clearance coordination. Port authorities, shipping companies, and logistics enterprises responded one by one and discussed professional and customized logistics organization solutions. Both sides also reached a consensus on establishing a regular docking mechanism and deepening long-term stable strategic cooperation.
Nanping is an important gateway for the opening-up of northern Fujian, with a solid industrial foundation and abundant foreign trade cargo sources, serving as a key inland hinterland for Fuzhou Port. By 2025, the foreign trade container throughput of Nanping City is expected to reach 80,000 TEUs, with nearly half of the goods entering and exiting through Fuzhou Port, and export containers accounting for as much as 50%. During the same period, the Minjiang River "golden waterway" sea-river intermodal transport is projected to handle 20,000 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 46%, with loaded container volume growing by 34.5%, becoming an important channel for many Nanping foreign trade enterprises to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and expand overseas markets.
