Guangxi issues its first electronic permit for dangerous goods operations at inland ports.

Recently, relying on the Guangxi Water Transport License Management System, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region issued the region's first electronic permit for hazardous cargo operations at inland ports, marking the realization of online full-process handling for hazardous cargo operations permits at inland ports within the autonomous region.

The Guangxi Water Transport License Management System achieves full digitalization of license application, acceptance, review, issuance, and usage, effectively addressing pain points such as multiple steps in traditional paper-based license processing, complex application materials, low efficiency in cross-regional circulation, difficulty in managing paper documents, and poor departmental data collaboration. Since its launch in April 2024, the system has processed over 10,000 cases and aggregated more than 40,000 electronic licenses across 8 categories of high-frequency water transport licenses.

The successful issuance of the first electronic permit for hazardous cargo operations at inland ports is a landmark achievement for Guangxi's transportation industry authorities, aligning with the construction needs of the Pinglu Canal Economic Belt. It deepens the comprehensive application of water transport electronic licenses and advances the "efficiently completing one task" government reform, clearing approval obstacles for expanding inland shipping of hazardous goods such as lithium batteries.
