On July 8, 2026, the Tianjin Water Rescue Skills Competition was held at Dongjiang Bay Beach. Organized by the Tianjin Maritime Search and Rescue Center and co-hosted by multiple entities, the event featured 20 teams and 220 elite rescue professionals. The competition included seven practical scenarios covering land, sea, and integrated rescue operations, utilizing the natural beach and ocean environments to simulate real-world rescue conditions. Additionally, five on-site zones showcased cutting-edge rescue technologies, digital innovations, and emergency collaboration. For the first time, cross-field representatives from the Yangtze River Waterway Bureau, emergency rescue systems, and northern regional rescue networks participated, enhancing inter-region and inter-industry rescue coordination.
