Analysis of China's Rubber Import and Export Data in February 2024

According to customs data, in February 2024, China's natural rubber (including technical classification, rubber latex, rubber smoked sheet, primary shape, mixed rubber, composite rubber) imports were 347,300 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 38.92%, and the cumulative imports from January to February were 916,000 tons, a cumulative year-on-year decrease of 18.72%.

In February 2024, the final value of China's natural rubber imports with technical classification was 92,000 tons, a decrease of 31.16% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 35.77%.

The cumulative total import volume from January to February 2024 was 225,700 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 12.58%.

Among them, in February, the main import sources were: Thailand, Côte d'Ivoire, Malaysia and Indonesia, accounting for 48.22%, 27.19%, 13.6% and 7.48% of the total imports respectively. Thailand was in the first place.

In February 2024, the import volume of natural rubber latex (40011000) was 28,700 tons, a decrease of 33.98% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 39.45%.

Among them, in February, the main import source countries  were: Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia, accounting for 52.49%, 46.52% and 0.98% of the total imports respectively.

In February 2024, the import volume of rubber smoked sheet (40012100) was 4,900 tons, a decrease of 36.69% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 71.25%.

Among them, the main import sources in February were: Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia, accounting for 36.01%, 34.39%, 21.62%, and 7.97% of the total imports respectively.

In February 2024, China's natural rubber and synthetic rubber mixture (40028000) imported 215,200 tons, a decrease of 42.23% month-on-month and 39.43% year-on-year.

The cumulative total import volume from January to February 2024 was 587,700 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 20.1%. Among them, the main import sources were: Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia, accounting for 36.77%, 35.9% and 16.15% of the total imports respectively.
