UV absorber UV-531
UV Absorber UV-531 is a high-performance anti-aging additive with outstanding efficiency. It absorbs ultraviolet light in the range of 240–340 nm and offers features such as light color, non-toxicity, good compatibility, low migration tendency, and easy processability. It provides maximum protection to polymers, helps reduce discoloration, and delays yellowing while retarding the loss of physical properties.
It is widely used in PE, PVC, PP, PS, PC, acrylic (PMMA), polypropylene fiber, and ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA), among others. Moreover, it delivers excellent light stabilization for air-drying products such as phenolic and alkyd varnishes, polyurethane coatings, acrylic coatings, epoxy coatings, automotive refinish paints, powder coatings, polyurethane materials, and rubber products. The recommended dosage is 0.1%–0.5%.
UV-531 is non-toxic, non-flammable, non-explosive, non-corrosive, and exhibits good storage stability. It is approved in many countries for use in food-contact plastic articles, including:
