Product Characteristics
KMNEK-404 is a flash rust inhibitor that contains no volatile organic compounds (VOCs).KMNEK-404 can be used in various types of water-dilutable coatings, such as water-reduciblealkyd resin coatings, acrylic resins, epoxy resins, and coating dispersions. Unlike other aqueousflash rust inhibitors, K-404 not only acts as a long-term flash rust inhibitor but can also reduce theamount of dispersant required in the formulation, effectively improving water resistance.KMNEK-404prevents the formation of flash rust (corrosion that occurs on iron-containingsubstrates during the drying ot water-based coatings) and contributes to the anti-corrosionperformance of the dry paint film, inhibiting subseguent substrate rust formation and spreacKMNEK-404 can also be used directly on metal surfaces as a temporary rust preventative,preventing early-stage corrosion after application.
