A private car collided with a tree and caught fire; a Jimo bus driver used a fire extinguisher to rescue.
Recently, Wan Chuchao, a driver of bus route 2105 from the Jimo branch of Qingdao Chengyun Holding Jiaoyun Group, encountered a private car that caught fire after crashing into a tree during his route. He quickly stopped the bus, took out a fire extinguisher, and extinguished the flames.

On the day of the incident, Wan Chuchao was driving the bus near the Hongxing Station section when he noticed a private car on the roadside damaged from hitting a tree, with smoke and flames coming from the engine area. The fire spread rapidly and was at risk of reaching the fuel tank at any moment. Wan Chuchao parked the bus in an area away from the fire source, turned on the hazard lights, explained the situation to the passengers, and took the onboard fire extinguisher to the burning vehicle. He aimed at the fire and sprayed continuously until the flames were completely extinguished. After confirming there was no risk of re-ignition, he returned to the bus and resumed normal operations.
The Transportation Bureau of Jimo District, Qingdao, Shandong Province, stated that they would use Wan Chuchao's actions as a model to promote and encourage learning within the district's bus and passenger transport companies.
