Liu Wei Meets with Russian Minister of Transport Nikigin
On March 2, Minister of Transport Liu Wei met with Russian Minister of Transport Nikitin in Beijing, where both sides had an in-depth exchange of views on issues of mutual concern. Russian Ambassador to China Morgulov was present at the meeting.
Liu Wei welcomed Nikitin and his delegation. He pointed out that the transport departments of China and Russia have always maintained close communication. Relying on mechanisms such as the Subcommittee on Transport Cooperation of the China-Russia Prime Ministers' Regular Meeting Committee, both sides have continuously deepened exchanges and cooperation in international road transport, maritime and river transport, railways, civil aviation, ports, autonomous driving technology, and other fields, achieving fruitful results. China is willing to work with Russia to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, further deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, enhance the facilitation of port clearance, continue to carry out river-sea intermodal transport, fully leverage their respective advantages in autonomous driving technology, low-altitude economy, and other areas, strengthen experience exchange, and jointly explore new fields and spaces for cooperation.
Nikitin expressed great importance to the friendly exchanges and pragmatic cooperation with the Chinese Ministry of Transport and is full of confidence in the development prospects. He is willing to strengthen contact with the Chinese side to promote exchanges and cooperation in cross-border railways, river-sea intermodal transport, autonomous driving technology, and other fields, achieving more mutually beneficial cooperation results.
