China’s logistics sector got off to a strong start in the first quarter.
CCTV News Client Message (News Broadcast): The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing announced today (April 29) that from January to March this year, the total social logistics in China amounted to 96.4 trillion yuan, an increase of 6.2% year-on-year, showing a clear recovery trend.
Specifically, from January to March, the total logistics of industrial products increased by 5.8% year-on-year, contributing more than 80% to the growth of total social logistics. Among them, the demand for logistics in the manufacturing sector accounted for more than 80%, and the growth rate of logistics in the high-end manufacturing sector exceeded 10%.
Logistics for people's livelihood consumption is steadily improving, and the momentum of new consumption continues to strengthen. The market share of county and township areas is steadily increasing, and logistics demand for rural e-commerce, urban-rural joint distribution, and upward movement of agricultural products remains active.
In addition, the growth rate of international logistics has significantly rebounded, and the import logistics volume of energy resources, basic raw materials, etc., has fully recovered. In the first quarter, the import logistics volume of energy products, metal ores, and other bulk categories increased by 9.4% year-on-year, effectively playing a supporting role in stabilizing the supply chain and ensuring the bottom-line operation of bulk commodity energy.
