IBI and Pakistan Deepen Cooperation to Start a New Chapter

Between September 1 and 6, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit and activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. On September 3, the IBI team met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for specialized business interactions with relevant departments of Pakistan.

On September 4, IBI co-organized the China-Pakistan B2B Investment Summit.

On September 10, IBI teamed up with 15 major Pakistani enterprises to jointly participate in the Pakistan Pavilion activities at the China International Fair for Trade in Services.

Thus, IBI and Pakistan are opening a new chapter in deepened cooperation.

Meeting the Prime Minister of Pakistan to establish a high-level business interaction mechanism

On September 3, IBI founder and CEO Qian Xiaojun, accompanied by IBI Director and Senior Vice President Liu Zhai, and TDD GLOBAL General Manager Daniel, met with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Qian Xiaojun expressed sincere greetings and gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif! He introduced IBI's business layout in three core growth areas: industrial e-commerce, industry digitalization, and cross-border industry export. Liu Zhai stated that IBI will leverage its deep accumulation in the industrial internet and digital supply chain fields, focusing on multidimensional cooperation with Pakistan in the following directions: first, jointly building a cross-border e-commerce platform to integrate bilateral industrial resources, expand the trade ecosystem, and efficiently connect with global markets; second, constructing a modern digital supply chain system to improve local distribution and regional circulation efficiency in Pakistan through the construction of intelligent logistics and warehousing networks; third, promoting digital connectivity at key nodes, collaborating with Pakistan to streamline core processes such as customs, taxation, finance, foreign exchange, commerce, and ports, achieving full-process digital empowerment of cross-border trade.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed high appreciation for IBI's innovative practices and comprehensive strength in the industrial internet and digital supply chain sectors. He pointed out, "Pakistan is actively promoting economic structural transformation, focusing on developing pillar industries such as mining, chemicals, agriculture, and information technology, aiming to build a regional digital hub. In recent years, the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has achieved remarkable results, providing a solid platform for cooperation between enterprises of both countries. IBI's advantages in cross-border industrial empowerment and cross-border e-commerce ecosystem construction are highly aligned with Pakistan's current development needs." Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif instructed key departments such as the National Investment Commission, the Special Investment Promotion Commission, the Ministry of Industry, and the Ministry of Information Technology to immediately initiate cooperation and technical interaction mechanisms to actively promote the implementation of cooperative projects. He also invited the IBI team to visit Pakistan as soon as possible for field investigations and in-depth consultations with relevant departments to jointly plan development.

The B2B Investment Summit ushers in a new phase of "CPEC 2.0" cooperation between China and Pakistan

On September 4, the China-Pakistan B2B Investment Summit, hosted by the Pakistani Embassy and co-organized by IBI, was grandly held in Beijing. The summit brought together over 2000 participants, including high-level government officials, business leaders, and industry experts from both China and Pakistan. It attracted active participation from 258 Pakistani enterprises and over 600 Chinese companies, covering nine key fields such as energy, chemicals, information technology, infrastructure, manufacturing, agriculture, mining, textiles, and logistics. During the event, more than 1000 B2B business matchmaking meetings were successfully held, injecting strong momentum to enhance the quality of China-Pakistan economic and trade cooperation.

In his speech, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif officially announced that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has entered a "CPEC 2.0" new phase, driven by inter-company investments as the core force. He stated that the Pakistani government will make every effort to optimize the business environment, remove investment barriers, and improve policy support to create a more open, efficient, and safe investment channel for Chinese enterprises. Shehbaz Sharif emphasized, "Pakistan possesses abundant skilled labor resources, broad market prospects, and a firm willingness for joint prosperity with China. Chinese industries seeking to enhance their global competitiveness will surely find a 'second home' here."

During the signing session, TDD Vice President Hu Kun, along with Vision Group Director Abdul Rehman and Chairman of the Pakistan Chemical Manufacturers Association Haroon Al Khan, respectively signed Memorandums of Understanding to focus on deepening cooperation concerning the development and operation of Pakistan's Gwadar Industrial Park. They agreed to jointly promote the upgrade of park infrastructure and digital management. Furthermore, the parties consented to establish a joint supply and demand coordination mechanism, comprehensively summarizing the raw material procurement needs of all tenants and factories within the industrial park, leveraging IBI's platform resources integration and collective procurement advantages to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce comprehensive operating costs.

Joint appearance at the International Fair for Trade in Services, attracting attention to Digital Pakistan

On September 10, the 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) opened at the Shougang Park in Beijing. IBI, together with 15 major Pakistani enterprises, jointly appeared in the Pakistan Pavilion, comprehensively showcasing the cooperation achievements between China and Pakistan in digital trade and industry digitalization. Pakistani Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi, Commercial Counselor Ghulam Qadir, and IBI Senior Vice President Liu Zhai jointly unveiled and ribbon-cut the Digital Pakistan National Pavilion, and held in-depth talks.

Ambassador Khalil Hashmi and Counselor Ghulam Qadir, accompanied by Liu Zhai, toured the exhibit area, gaining detailed insights into IBI's innovative achievements in industrial internet platform construction and cross-border digital supply chain services, and fully recognized the company's practical outcomes in promoting industry digitalization cooperation between China and Pakistan.
